Increase Chair David Burke writes...

The Increase Committee is pleased to announce that Dr Volker Glissmann is being appointed to a senior leadership role in the Increase Association.
His initial appointment is as Associate General Secretary. This is expected to start later in 2026 after arrangements are finalised with his sending agency, the Council of Global Mission of the Presbyterian Church of Ireland. Increase expects to commission Volker publicly for this new role at our October 2026 conference.
Dr Glissmann and his wife Jinhyeog have lived in Malawi for 16 years. Volker has served as Executive Director, Course Writer and Programme Developer for TEEM (Theological Education by Extension Malawi) from 2010 to 2018, and as Programme Developer for TEEC (Theological Education by Extension College) in South Africa since 2020. He is also the co-founder of TEEnet (Theological Education by Extension Network).
Dr Glissmann brings a wealth of experience in TEE as well as extended publication credits. He and his wife Jinhyeog have spent three years in Russia and one year in Singapore. He has been an individual member of Increase for many years and has been involved in Increase work groups.
Dr Glissmann’s appointment follows a prayerful and careful search process. Increase is grateful for the Lord’s leading. We see this appointment as timely as we celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2026 and pivot to a new chapter of serving the Lord’s church, in His mission, and to His glory.
